Melting Ice in Vermont
Melting the ice in our hearts
so that we may use our knowledge wisely

Angaangaq is an Inuk (Eskimo) Elder, Angakkuq-Shaman, and
carrier of the Qilaut (Eskimo Wind Drum). He comes from a family
of traditional healers and wisdomkeepers from Kalaallit Nunaat,
Greenland. Angaangaq knows first-hand the dramatic environmental
changes that are taking place on this planet; he believes that
we can face the challenges presented by these changes as opportunities
for personal and societal growth.
Angaangaq visited Montpelier, Vermont last year, November
29 thru December 1, 2007. He won a place in the hearts of many
who met him, either at the large public gatherings or at the
workshop he led on November 29. (read
an article from The Bridge about his 2007 visit)
This September, Angaangaq returns to Central Vermont to work
with children and adults through inservice trainings; a two-day
intensive seminar; a circle of stories, song and sharing, for
families, children, and the general public; ceremonies; and private
healings. See the schedule of events
